Desk Attendant

The Desk Attendant is responsible for monitoring those visitors to the assigned building and protecting the property with the objective of minimizing risks. This person will maintain the visitor registry and report any known or suspected criminal activity to the police and Property Manager.

This person will seek to prevent property damage, monitor for fire and safety issues and help emergency responders gain access to the building in the event of medical events involving residents, visitors and staff. Also, for this role, this person must be punctual and not leave their work station until a relief person takes over the operation, or until a work shift ends where leaving the work station has been pre-approved by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • 1 -2 years of experience in related field.
  • Some post high school education preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Flexibility, positive attitude, team orientation and willingness to learn are a must.
  • Strong verbal, written and customer service communication skills are essential.
  • Computer proficiency (specifically in MS-Word, Excel and Outlook).
