Resident Construction Liaison

POAH Communities, a mission-driven organization specializing in the professional management of affordable multifamily housing, is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as a full-time Resident Construction Liaison.  The liaison will work at the Hawthorne Place Apartments located in Independence, MO for the duration of a construction project (to be completed November 2017) with a possibility of other opportunities after completion of the project. 

In summary, this individual will be responsible for locking and unlocking doors, compiling/passing out documents and waiting with the construction group while they are working within the occupied units.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong verbal, written and customer service communication skills are essential.
  • Basic proficiency in the use of computers including Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Proven organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to a Sr, Maintenance Supervisor, but will work closely with the Property Manager.

  • Ensure quality construction standards and preparations are in place to minimize resident disturbance.
  • Communicate to residents construction related items that will affect them.
  • Be “point person" for residents during the construction process.
  • Prepare and distribute notices to residents.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully serve as a liaison between residents and construction.
  • Attend weekly construction meetings.
  • Track organization and scheduling of work.
